About the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program

Our 28-day residential 300-hour yoga teacher training in Sri Lanka is designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge, refine their teaching skills, and explore yoga through advanced study, practice, and self-inquiry. You can join after completing a 200-hour course, or begin your teacher training with this program if you have an established practice.

This immersive 300-hour yoga teacher training in Galle, Sri Lanka brings together traditional yogic wisdom and advanced teaching practice. Over 28 days you will take your Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga foundations, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy, Alignment, hands-on adjustments, and Teaching Methodology through daily practice, theory, observation, and individual guidance.

The training goes beyond the foundations of teaching yoga. You will plan and teach full classes, build progressive sequences, develop more precise verbal cueing, practice modifications and hands-on adjustments, and learn to respond to different student needs, with individual feedback from our teaching team. They follow the approach developed by our founder, Yogini Manisha (E-RYT 500), who has guided over 23,000 students from more than 80 countries. With no more than 10 students in each batch, your teachers follow your progress closely.

You will live and train at Green Serene Villa in Galle, on Sri Lanka's southern coast, away from everyday routines and with dedicated time for yoga, meditation, self-study, and reflection. Your room, three sattvic vegetarian meals a day, Wi-Fi, and airport pickup from Colombo are included. As a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300), we award a 300-hour certificate on completion, and your hours count toward RYT 500 registration once you also hold a yoga teacher training in sri lanka.

Do I need to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training first?
No. You can join after a 200-hour course, or begin with this training if you have an established practice. For RYT 500 registration, Yoga Alliance requires both a 200-hour and a 300-hour certificate, so if you start here you would complete a 200-hour course afterwards.
How is the 300-hour course different from the 200-hour course?
The 200-hour course teaches the foundations of practice and teaching. The 300-hour course goes further, with advanced asana, deeper study of philosophy and anatomy, hands-on adjustments, advanced sequencing, and more time teaching full classes with feedback.
Is this a Yoga Alliance registered program?
Yes. Diksha Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300). Your 300 hours count toward RYT 500 registration once you also hold a 200-hour certificate.

What is included in the course fee?
The fee includes 27 nights at Green Serene Villa, three sattvic vegetarian meals a day, all classes, the course manual, assessment and your 300-hour certificate, Wi-Fi, airport pickup from Colombo (CMB), and local excursions. Flights, visa fees, and travel insurance are not included.
How long is the training, and where is it held?
The training runs for 28 days and 27 nights at Green Serene Villa in Galle, on Sri Lanka's southern coast.

You will study advanced Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga practice, pranayama and shatkarma, meditation, advanced yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment and hands-on adjustments, advanced sequencing, and teaching methodology.
Will I teach and receive feedback?
Yes. You plan and lead classes for different levels and receive individual feedback on your sequencing, cueing, adjustments, and teaching presence.
What is the daily schedule like?
The day starts at 6:30 AM with cleansing practices and pranayama and ends with satsang and meditation at 8:30 PM. In between are asana practice, philosophy, adjustments, meditation, anatomy, teaching methodology, and an evening teaching practicum. Sundays are free.
How many students are in each group?
Each batch has a maximum of 10 students, so you receive direct, individual guidance.
Who teaches the course?
The training is led by Diksha Yoga School's teaching team, following the approach developed by our founder, Yogini Manisha, over more than 16 years of teaching.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. On completion you receive a 300-hour certificate from Diksha Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 300).
Do I need a visa for Sri Lanka?
Most visitors need a visa or electronic travel authorisation. The rules change, so check Sri Lanka's official immigration website for your nationality before you book flights.

Fly into Colombo (CMB). Airport pickup is included, so send us your flight details before you travel and we will arrange your transfer to Galle.
